Today, 01:36 AM Why should we fear God? Because it works better that way. You may fear God at first, when you're younger, until you mature into a desire to serve God out of desire, choice, as oppose to avoidance from consequences. Fear is purely loyalty. Fear is dependency on God. Fear is desire to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind. The question I could pose to the OP is, "What do you mean by fear? What kind of fear? What do you mean by that?" Fear is not zombie zappers, an ability to lock people into dogma religion so that they may not lose their salvation at any cost. We are to fear God rather than men. Fear can be a beautiful thing if we dare to engage it purely & intensely.

There's a difference between a fear that is the beginning of wisdom and a fear that thwarts our abilities, desire, drive, towards going for God's best, destiny, will.
