Why should we fear God? Because it works better that way. You may fear God at first, when you're younger, until you mature into a desire to serve God out of desire, choice, as oppose to avoidance from consequences. Fear is purely loyalty. Fear is dependency on God. Fear is desire to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind. The question I could pose to the OP is, "What do you mean by fear? What kind of fear? What do you mean by that?" Fear is not zombie zappers, an ability to lock people into dogma religion so that they may not lose their salvation at any cost. We are to fear God rather than men. Fear can be a beautiful thing if we dare to engage it purely & intensely.

Most examples of fear are because of being scared, afraid or frightened, which to my mind is quite the opposite of beautiful.
Somehow religious fear of God, which would have started off as being just a regular fear, has over time now become apologised into something supposedly beautiful.

Fear has a bad rap, reputation, face. There's a difference between a fear that is the beginning of wisdom and a fear that thwarts our abilities, desire, drive, towards going for God's best, destiny, will.
