Israel committed adultery repeatedly. Israel had second chances. Israel rejected the offers. Israel even rejected the King, Himself, Jesus. God kind of divorced Israel, so to speak. God went on to marry the Church, so to speak. However, this is an illustration. God never bans people. God never exactly divorces anybody. We are all born divorced from God, already. Christ married the Church. Israel is included in that church. We are drafted in. From God's perspective, God simply offered us life & salvation. That is, first God created us. We don't deserve existence, life, joy, love, eternity (even in Hell), & yet God still made us. God then gave us choice, an opportunity to be apart of destiny, or a decision to stay in eternal darkness, separation. In other words, God never exactly divorced Israel or the church, but God rather married whosoever that wants to be a part of His Story (history).
